Career Development

Career Development

Career Development are interconnected channels of study with relations to many academic disciplines, organisational methods and policy developments in the up-and-coming knowledge economies and learning societies of the present world. Career Development with Tony Miller is a platform for research in these areas that deals with questions of theories and hypothesis development, as well as with organisational career plan, policy and practice. Issues of theory and of practice may be dealt with at individual, organisational and society levels.

Career development is seen by Businesses as the employee's responsibility. This programme is designed specifically to raise participants’ awareness of potential opportunities and enable them to recognise how these can be used to advance their career development. Completion of some pre-course work will be required to maximise the time’s effectiveness, enabling information to be consolidated and the duration of the programme to be used for developing a career strategy.

Learning methods include discussion, individual and practical exercises, group activity and role-play (where appropriate) and encourage interactivity to influence the participants to reach their own conclusions about their career. Participants will be encouraged to draw on their own experiences as well as those of the trainer. On completion, each participant will be given their own personal behavioural profile and career development plan, and they will have a better understanding of the process needed to take control of their career.
